Started in 2013 with a simple idea: creating a day where everything stops and people just listen to the music, Play Music on the Porch Day is an opportunity to unplug and join an international community in celebrating the beauty of music with no other distractions.
Even if you only have part of the day, make some time to pause and play some music, listen and enjoy the moment with friends and family, or solo. Music has the power to transcend languages, barriers and borders, and each year thousands of musicians from dozens of countries and hundreds of cities and towns take the time to stop and come together over the simple joy of music.
