New name, same great experience

For the past 12 years, Veraci Pizza had been a staple in the Spokane community. Throughout the years, the restaurant has evolved, and when the time came to renegotiate their agreement with the Seattle-based trademark brand, owners Laura and Seth Carey decided it was time to move forward to expand under their own brand—and Versalia Pizza was born in February 2021.
"We've been pleasantly surprised with how well the transition has gone. The only complaint that we've heard is that people don't know how to pronounce our new name," Laura laughs.
Guests will partake in the same experience as before and find their favorite items—with the addition of some new must-try menu choices. To complement the award-winning pizza, guests will be treated to appetizers like the Caprese Plate, Antipasto, Garlic and Herb Flatbread, a variety of salads and mouth-watering house-made desserts. “Our food menu has something for everyone,” Laura says. “Many people come for the salads when they’re not craving pizzas, and we’ve added vegan cheese as well as a vegan pizza to expand our offerings to more customers!”
With a drink menu that changes seasonally, patrons will find the ideal concoction perfect for a warm summer evening out on the restaurant’s patio. They have a collaborative beer with Hidden Mother Brewery called Hands on the Wire that is on tap and very popular. “We look forward to more local brewery collaborations,” states Laura.
When you dine at Versalia, you get the full Kendall Yards experience. “You can shop, get a massage, go for a post-dinner walk on the Centennial Trail or take your family to ice cream when you’re done eating our smoky flavored wood-fired pizza!” Laura says, adding, “When you come into our restaurant and eat our food, buy our merchandise and spend your time with us, you are 100 percent supporting a local Spokane business!”
Versalia Pizza is open daily 11am to 9pm. You may see their mobile pizza oven around Spokane and North Idaho at special events and weddings this summer.
