The Spokane Symphony opens its season with an evening of dramatic and romantic music. Pianist Mackenzie Melemed joins the orchestra for Amy Beach’s richly expressive Piano Concerto, while Prokofiev’s powerful Romeo and Juliet brings the program to an emotional close. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday.
