Spokane Symphony Masterworks 6: Love Triangle

February 28-March 1

A woman in a textured dress plays the piano in a black-and-white setting, focused and serene, against a dark background.

The Spokane Symphony welcomes back conductor Johannes Schlaefli for a program exploring music’s most famous love triangle: Clara Schumann, Robert Schumann, and Johannes Brahms. Clara composed her piano concerto at just 19 but largely stopped writing after Robert’s death to support their eight children, while her passionate and complex relationship with Brahms remains one of classical music’s enduring mysteries. This concert is sponsored in memory of beloved Symphony musician and teacher Kendall Feeney.
