Celebrate food, culture, and community during the Post Falls: The Early Years Historical Food Festival, a special one-day event honoring both the nation’s 250th anniversary and the rich culinary history of Post Falls. Presented by the Jacklin Arts & Cultural Center, Post Falls Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Post Falls, the festival brings history to life through seven themed food stations representing the many eras and cultures that shaped the region, from the indigenous Coeur d’Alene Tribe to logging camps, railroad towns, mid-century Americana, and modern local cuisine.
Guests can enjoy tastings from local restaurants and community partners while exploring live music, historical demonstrations, children’s activities, workshops, face painting, a petting zoo, magic performances, parades, and cultural entertainment throughout the day. Highlights include the opening ceremony led by the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, Scottish Highland dancers, live porch music, and interactive family activities inside and around the Jacklin Arts & Cultural Center. The event offers a unique opportunity to experience local history through the universal language of food in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.
