This year, the North Idaho State Fair will ‘Salute to a Century’ to celebrate 100 years! Returning to the Kootenai County Fairgrounds beginning Friday, the Fair will offer traditional favorites including carnival games, animals, fair food, monster trucks, demo derby, the rodeo, and the Party in the Dirt Concert series at Findlay Stadium.
The fair will kick off at 2pm on August 19, with a grand opening ceremony at 4pm. During the day, check out the many exhibits and vendors offered at the fair, then stay for evening entertainment. Opening night will see new fair entertainment titled Big Air at the Fair, featuring X Games medalists performing tricks and flips on snowmobiles, dirt-bikes and four-wheelers.
This year’s Party in the Dirt concert series will be three nights long, featuring singer-songwriter Jordan Davis, Grammy-nominated Christian rock quartet Skillet, and popular rock band the All-American Rejects. The Xtreme Bulls and Gem State Stampede PRCA Rodeo will round out fair entertainment and a memorable 100th year of the North Idaho State Fair!
