Lewis-Clark Valley AVA Celebrates 10 Years

The Lewis-Clark Valley AVA is celebrating 10 years of official recognition in 2026, marking a decade since the region was designated as an American Viticultural Area.

Established in 2016, the AVA spans portions of Idaho and Washington and builds on a winemaking history that dates back to the 1860s. Today, vineyards throughout the region produce varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Riesling and Chardonnay.

The anniversary recognizes both the growth of the region’s wine industry and the growers and winemakers who have helped establish the Lewis-Clark Valley as part of Idaho’s wine story.
