Labor Day Festivities All Weekend Long!


FALL FEST AT SCHWEITZER

September 3 - 6



Schweitzer Mountain Resort’s annual Fall Fest returns this weekend, with four days of live music, local drinks, vendors, and mountain views. Beginning Friday afternoon, over 80 beers, ciders, seltzers and wines will be pouring, with a variety of souvenir glassware and tastings available to enjoy. Ten bands will play across the weekend, including the Powers, Zach Cooper Band, and Colby Acuff. PAUL BUNYAN DAYS IN SAINT MARIES

September 3 - 6


Every Labor Day weekend, Paul Bunyan Days brings four days of celebrating the logging history in Saint Maries, Idaho. Paul Bunyan Days is known for bringing family friendly fun, including the Davis Shows Northwest carnival, Demolition Derby, parade, live music and entertainment, and the largest fireworks display in the Northwest. Live music will start at noon on Saturday and Sunday, running through the rest of the day with several bands on the lineup throughout the weekend. Read More...





Fox Theater 90th Birthday Celebration

September 3, Noon - 4pm



Spokane’s Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox is celebrating its 90th birthday with an open house celebration! The well-known art deco-style theater had its grand opening in September of 1931, and is now owned and operated by the Spokane Symphony. Community members are invited to join in the celebrations for a self-guided tour and refreshments, with symphony concert tickets, merchandise and more available to purchase. Read more...


Grids & Tubes September Gallery Show

September 3 - 25


Terrain Gallery in Spokane welcomes its September exhibit today with Grids & Tubes, a collaborative installation from artists Jesse Blumenthal and Karl Schwiesow. The exhibit is described as an interweaving of “a post-industrial geometric exploration of space and sound; ceramic, metal, and found objects will be animated through speaker, transducer, radio frequency, and video display.” After creating elements of the project within their own studios, the artists will come together at Terrain Gallery to recontextualize their works, bringing post-industrial, domestic, and environmental themes through a variety of mediums. Spokane Symphony Labor Day Concert

September 4 & 6, 6 - 8pm


This year, the Spokane Symphony’s anticipated annual Labor Day concert will take place at the Pavilion in Riverfront Park on Monday, September 6 (with an additional Labor Day weekend concert on Saturday, September 4, at Pavillion Park in Liberty Lake). The free show will be led by conductor James Low, beginning at 6pm, with entry starting at 4pm. Chairs will be available to sit in front of the stage at a first-come, first-served basis, with additional lawn seating available—bring your blankets, beach towels and low-backed beach chairs! Daniel Hall at Arbor Crest Winery

September 9, 4:30 - 6:30pm


Arbor Crest’s evening concerts will continue into September on Thursday and Sunday evenings. This Thursday, the winery welcomes acoustic folk/rock musician Daniel Hall to take the stage at 4:30pm. At the concert, enjoy Arbor Crest’s new Mediterranean-inspired menu and selection of wines. Tickets are $8 for standard seating, with additional VIP seating available. Read more...
