If your health is a priority in 2023, juicing will be your best friend. And you don't have to go to a juice bar to get the freshest juice. You can make it right at home, saving time and money. Juicing is a great way to start the day or as a pick-me-up to feel more energized If you prefer a more tart flavor, use less fruit. Trying to get the kids to drink a glass? Adding a bit more will give it the perfect sweetness.
Ingredients:
1 bunch kale, roughly chopped
1 large lemon, peeled and quartered
1 inch ginger, peeled
1 cucumber, cut into long strips
2 apples, peeled and sliced
4 stalks of celery
Method:
Wash and prep veggies
Juice in order listed
Strain through a sieve if you don't like pulp (optional)
Drink immediately, and enjoy!
Tip:
If you do not own a juicer, juices can be made in the blender, with a more smoothie-like consistency. There will be quite a bit of pulp that you can strain out with a sieve.
