Bloomsday 2026: 50th Anniversary

One of Spokane’s most iconic traditions celebrates a major milestone as Bloomsday returns for its 50th anniversary. Each year, tens of thousands of participants run, walk, jog, or wheel the famous 12K course through downtown Spokane, making it one of the nation’s largest road races. The scenic route begins and ends near Riverfront Park, with sweeping views of the Spokane River and a memorable finish near Spokane Falls. Known as a race for everyone, Bloomsday welcomes athletes of all levels, families, kids, stroller pushers, and wheelchair participants. Every finisher receives an official race time and the coveted commemorative shirt, making this golden anniversary celebration one to remember.
